A decision...

Woo~~
Hey Ms. Zhang,

I think right now, I am going to go for the detergent experiment. It seemed interesting enough, and does require quite some researching, as it all had to do with chemistry.

Need to do more background research on the chemistry of soap and detergent.

I think this experiment won't be a challenge, but it won't be easy either. It would require the access to multiple detergent and/or soap....Well, my mum won't be too pleased...

Anyways, I think this could work.

Please tell tell me if this experiment is ok....Thanks!!:)

Oh, and I also found one with something about glow stick. I could think of some experiment to do with glow sticks, I suppose....I'll think about it, but I'm going to stick to the detergent now.

Another possibility

Hello blog,
I've been surfing the net for any additional ideas that seemed interesting, and I found this.

To test if the thickness of the bag affect how high it would rise.
We use a number of black plastic bags with different thickness. Fill all the bags with air and tie the opening of the bag so air do not escape. Then leave all the bags out in the sun, (this experiment make use of the solar energy).
We then observe which bag floats the highest, and see if the thickness affected how high the bags could float.

Independent variable would be the thickness of the bag
Dependent variable would be how high the bags floated
Controlled variable would be the same type and brand of bag, and the same day, under the same sun, in the same location.

This experiment could be conducted for a few times to make sure it is as accurate as it could be.

It sounds interesting, sort of...
If I was to do this one, would it be ok?

I think this might work

Oh wow, I found this thing that looked pretty interesting.

It is an experiment which tests whether a brand of soap is really effective in removing the fat, or the oil. This could be done by:
1. Fill a plate (with a dent in the middle) with full cream milk.
2. Drop 4 different colours of food dye in the middle, so it forms a circle.
3. Use a cotton stick thing and dip it into the soap (so the cotton tips absorb the soap)
4. Dip the cotton tip (the tip with the soap) into one of the food dye and leave it there.
What will happen is that the milk will move, spreading out from the tip of the cotton tip, and the colour dye will move with it, allowing us to see the movement of the milk. The more the milk moves, the more effective the soap is. The less it moves, the less effective the milk will be.

The reason this happens is because when soap meets fat, it will tend to grab hold of the fat, and take it with it. This is why soap is able to remove the greese from people's hands, and remove the oil on plates, etc.
I could also try out using different brands of detergent to see which brand is better.

The independent variable would be the different brand of type of soap or detergent

The dependent variable would be how much the milk would move (thus how much fat is being removed)

The controlled variable would be keeping the same brand and type of milk, same dye, same cotton tip sticks.

I hope this works!! Ms Zhang, would this experiment be acceptable?

OOh, NNNOOOOO!!!!!!

I can't do the egg thing.....

Ok, I'm thinking!!!!!!
ThAnks Ms Zhang!!

Did i ever mention that blogging is really confusing? Well, I do now, and it's confusing.

I can't see what I'm typing, cause this colour is really faint, so i'm gonna post another one wth a differnt colour.

Message to Ms Zhang

How do I stop following someone? Cause I accidentally followed myself and I don't know how to delete it......

Please don't laugh.....:P

An Idea....Oooooo~~~

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH~~~~~~

What about putting eggs in different liquids for a few weeks, and see what happens after?

I remembered something about if you leave an egg in viniger for a long period of time, then the outer layer becomes transparent and you can see the inside!! Maybe I'll do that!!

So I can try the eggs in soy sauce, milk (maybe), viniger, salty and sugar water....I'll have to do some reseach on that...

Cheers, RoN
OK, technical difficulty....how do I follow someone???

SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!

S.O.S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE

Since it's science, I'll use a nice green colour....

ok...that sounds totally weird...

Anyways, yes, the reseach project. I'm finally posting something. Took me long enough to figure how to use this thing...
I've been doing a bit of research regarding the hypnosis and how it works. I was kinda thinking of doing that, and doing some experiments of hypnosis, like "hypnotising people can make them feel relaxed" or something like that, and maybe try some hypnosis experiments on people.

But now, I'm not really sure whether I should do that, cause what if it doesn't work? *sigh~~~*

I'm still reseaching in regards to that area, but I'm also looking for new ones. I don't want to do anything that are too complicated, and I wouldn't have access to the equipment anyways. I also don't want to do something too boring.....(an internal war is going on inside my brain)

But yeah, I'm looking and researching, so that's good....I just need to find a definate topic soon...

Cheers, RoN
